Research

RootToReceptor explores how ancient and traditional healing systems influence molecular, physiological and epigenetic mechanisms that sustain health, coherence and human potential. Our scientific framework draws from consciousness-based practices such as yoga, Ayurveda, sound healing, and energy medicine to investigate how these modalities modulate the biofield, restore systemic balance and support self-healing.

Each focus area represents a bridge between timeless wisdom and modern molecular understanding, reflecting our mission to study how energy, intention and awareness translate into measurable biological change. By integrating the insights of ancient traditions with the tools of modern science, RootToReceptor seeks to advance evidence-based knowledge for the future of integrative medicine.

Biofield & Energy Medicine

RootToReceptor investigates how the human biofield serves as an interface between consciousness and physiology. This research area explores how energy-based modalities such as Reiki, Pranic Healing, and Therapeutic Touch influence molecular signaling, gene expression, and systemic coherence.

These studies aim to uncover how subtle energetic communication contributes to regulation, healing, and resilience across the body’s interconnected systems.
(Modalities include, but are not limited to, Reiki, Healing Touch, and energy-based distant healing practices.)

Yoga & Meditation Sciences

This area examines how mind–body practices such as yoga, pranayama, meditation, and mindfulness enhance physiological balance and emotional regulation.

Research focuses on understanding how these practices modulate the autonomic nervous system, stress responses, and epigenetic regulation associated with well-being and neurocardiac coherence. (Modalities include, but are not limited to, yoga asanas, pranayama, meditation, kriya yoga, and yoga nidra.)

Ayurveda & Nutritional Sciences

Ayurveda offers a holistic framework for maintaining balance and preventing disease through body constitution, nutrition, and herbal medicine.

This research area explores how Ayurvedic principles and dietary practices align with molecular and biochemical pathways related to metabolism, inflammation, and immune regulation. (Modalities include, but are not limited to, dosha-based nutrition, herbal formulations, Ayurvedic detoxification, and mindful eating.)

Vibrational & Frequency-Based Healing

RootToReceptor explores how sound, rhythm, and frequency influence the human biofield, brain, and cellular environment. Research focuses on vibrational resonance and neural entrainment as mechanisms that promote coherence and emotional harmony. (Modalities include, but are not limited to, sound baths, singing bowls, mantra chanting, tuning forks, and music therapy.)

Together, these focus areas form the foundation of RootToReceptor’s transdisciplinary research framework—one that seeks to connect the molecular, energetic, and consciousness dimensions of healing. By integrating evidence from biofield, physiological, and behavioral studies, the initiative aims to uncover the mechanisms through which energy, intention, and awareness influence the body’s regulatory systems. This understanding not only deepens scientific insight into the nature of healing but also helps bridge traditional and modern medicine, fostering a unified model of health that is both measurable and experiential.
